For our Hobie Kayak customers who are not members of the FB Group Qld Hobie Crew here’s a little on the next social fishing event by Ray Hawes !

I called into to see our good friend and longtime supporter of the Queensland Hobie Crew, Gordon McGillivray at Sunstate Watersports earlier today. Without hesitation, he was happy to confirm his continued support for our Mini Meet & Greet Series and donate a wonderful Hobie Fishing Hoodie. As usual, this prize will go to the winner of the biggest Mystery fish caught on the day.

I will confirm the winner in a post so all the winner has to do, is present themselves at Sunstate Watersports and Gordon McGillivray will make sure that you end up with a Hobie fishing Hobie that is the correct size for you.

Also a big Thank you to Troy Brown who has donated our liquid refreshments for the day and to Maz Watters who has kindly donated the snags and some bread for our after fish chat and Bar B Q, Bunnings style.

We have 13 nominations and 2 maybes so far. So If I can ask, if you are planning on joining us on the day, whilst you can nominate on the day and that is not a problem, it is great if you can pre-nominate so that it helps with planning our catering numbers.

I have noticed that our 1st & 2nd place setters have both nominated to join us on the day, so we will see a battle a the top.

But being a Flathead competition, this also offers us mere mortals and opportunity to have a crack at the day so we may see a change at the top after the first 2 rounds in 2023 from someone a little lower down the leaders board.

Keep the nominations coming and also remember, everyone who attends on the day also gets an 1 entry and goes into the draw for the sensational Lowrance donated sounder that will be drawn at Sunstate Watersports after our final round of the year.
