If you want to get out on the water, bring along a friend, your significant other, or a child—dual helm control means either of you can steer this wide, stable tandem kayak. Or you can go solo. The Outfitter is the most compact of Hobie’s rotomolded polyethylene tandems, a little easier to store than its larger sibling the Oasis. Room for two doesn’t mean sacrificing storage: utility trays, 3 x Twist and Seal hatches, and a large rear storage area provide plenty of room. The Outfitter was replaced by the Compass Duo in 2019 but is still a great option and at these prices they will not last long !
